Chris Henry (CHP, LLC)  incorporated in 2008 after 12 years as a highly successful freelance photographer.
   With 4 independent gallery shows and a wealth of work, CHP stands unparralled as Baltimore's elite photographic firm.
   Working with many of the region's best photographers, Chris has become regarded as the single best asset to the local / regional music scene. 
  Shooting for several national publications, including past work for Patuxent Publishing / Alter Communications / AP Magazine, he won the coveted first place award in June of 2002 for the Agfa Film global internet photography contest, and placed as a finalist for Nikon / Photographer's Forum Magazine College Photographer of the Year in 2001. He has also received both the Editor's Choice Award in 1998 and the First Place International Open Competition award for best image by the International Library of Photography in 2000. In the fall of 2007, Chris placed 5th in the nation for the ACP / Associated Press National Convention Best of Show Advisor / Peer Review.
  Chris completed studies at Towson University, graduating Cum Laude in 2001 with a B.S. in Photographic Imaging. He also holds an Associate degree in Fine Art and a certificate in Video and Film production. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Publication Design at the University of Baltimore. 
   His work has been featured in over 20 hardcover photography collections, magazines, galleries, book jacket covers, and even the legendary ILOP publication America at the Millenium: The Best Photographers of the 20'th Century. Listed as a staff photographer for over 20 national and international publications, his photo credits have ranged from specialized magazines to national newspapers.
   As a 46Q Photojournalist in the United States Army, he went on to launch a career in photography while pursuing undergraduate studies at Towson University. Chris worked for both The Towerlight Newspaper and Towson University public relations contributing images to Towson Magazine, Towson brochures, Towson publications, and Towson Residence Life literature.
   While at The Towerlight, he served for 2 years on the editorial board as the managing editor of the photography department, shooting cover and feature images for legendary performers such as Britney Spears, Dave Chapelle, Tracy Morgan, Edward Norton, The Goo Goo Dolls, Fuel, Cypress Hill, and many more.
   As a staff photographer at Pro Photo Studios from 2000-2001, locational lighting became second nature on wedding assignments, adapting a hybrid blend of natural / studio lighting techniques.
   Taking over graphic design and production photography for Baltimore based Sunny's Surplus in 2003, Chris shot images for corporate ads, promotions, and direct mail pieces hitting over 500,000 homes per month. His work for the company's EOA (Extreme Outdoor Adventure) department gave photographic access to extreme adventures designed for corporate teambuilding, providing hundreds of shots from remote whitewater kayak descents, summit peaks, multi-day adventure races, and mountain bike marthon races including the VA OAR Ironman in 2005 & 2006. 
    As a staff photographer / writer for the UB Post from 2007-2008, his music column reviewed multiple Baltimore area acts, from The Apathy Eulogy to fan favorite Stupid Hero.
    In the spring of 2007, after years of touring with local and regional bands, Chris began shooting portfolio images & press shoots for local artists, encompassing the vast majority of local bands across the Baltimore scene. His work can be found on countless websites and Myspace profiles, from international sensations American Diary and Dave Matthew's guitarist Tim Reynolds, to local favorites like Dropout Year and The Hint. His work w/ musical artists national and international can be found in magazines, CD albums, on tour posters, or even local 'zines such as the infamous Scene Trash Magazine.
